Dr. Quan Sun from Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University, Japan, visited C-UFO on 17th July, 2017 and gave the public talk on " Micro/nanofabrication and probing surface plasmons by ultrafast pulses ". Prof. Qi-Dai Chen hosted the talk.

Dr. Quan Sun received his bachelor and Master degree in 2000 and 2006 in Beijing University, respectively. He has been working as Postdoctoral Fellow at Laval university of Canada and Hokkaido University of Japan. Since April 2016, he joined Research Institute for Electronic Science of Hokkaido University as an Assistant Professor. Now, his main research interests are nano photonics, nonlinear optics, laser micro-nano fabrication.
